Brick Lane alternative

On 22 March the Brick Lane possee ventured to new pastures and sampled the delights of the Vietnamese restaurants on the Kingsland Road, just north of Shoreditch.

Next similar social [ in June?July?] will be south of the river in the vicinity of Waterloo to ease the travel home for some!

INDIA and the Tsunami

Tsunami Boxing Day 2004

I gather a few people have been a bit concerned about my well being due to the Tsunami on Dec 26. Flattered y’all care.

I was in Cochin, Kerala, India on Boxing Day when it hit just after midday- by then it turned out to be a 3 foot swell but this still caused considerable damage to the surrounding low-lying areas and some deaths. Fortunately I was well away from the ‘danger zone’ and generally Kerala escaped the worst of it.

Had we been in Chennai on the other hand…..

Anyway I’m safely back in SE13 so will be in touch with everybody over the coming days to tell all.

Thanks again for your concern, and impressed that the ‘old boys network grapevine’ had managed to alert at least some of you that I was safe-feel free to pass on the news to anybody else who’s interested!.

Cheers

Mitch
